To ensure your pets don't catch cold, they are bathed using Johnsons Small Animal Cleansing Foam, cleans without water, for Rabbits & Guinea Pigs, leaving their fur clean and pleasantly scented.
Reasons for grooming
Nails need to be trimmed to a suitable length enabling them to walk properly.
Fur is kept trim around the bottom area to stop them picking up their own faeces or urine. Keeping the bottom clean helps to prevent problem such as fly strike, urine burn and other infections.
Although rabbits regularly groom themselves, grooming removes excess fur that might be ingested otherwise, and can cause problems in there digestive system like GI Stasis. When brushed regularly this can help them shed some of their summer coat whilst helping preventing matts occurring.
Regularly removing matts will prevent them growing even bigger as they can eventually be so close to the skin it will start pulling on it making it nearly impossible to get out.
