Nigel and Jackie are wonderful. They recently looked after my 2 rabbits. Whilst I was away I received a couple of updates with pictures of the bunnies which was lovely. Will be using these guys again in the future and would recommend :)

We love the Small Animal Den! Jackie and Nigel do such a lovely job of looking after our guinea pigs! They are in a heated room, with a lovely big cage, they are kept really clean and I even get sent piccies of them whilst I’m away, which is super cutie! It is also so brilliant having the Small Animal Den on our doorstep, there are so make catteries and kennels, but not many option for guinea pigs. So thanks so much Jackie and Nigel, it makes it so much easier for us to go away knowing that they’ll be well looked after 😊 Laura Fox

All good. We have indoor rabbits and they were able to have a room with a radiator. It was also nice to have pictures of them during our time away to see how they were getting on. We will definitely be coming back. Henning

It's wonderful finding somewhere we can happily leave our two parrots and know they're well cared for. Normally they sulk after we've been away but they were singing away happily as soon as we picked them up. They're all booked for the next trip and I would recommend The Small Animal Den to anyone! Our four guinea pigs, Merlin, Arthur, Benny and Pumpkin all had a holiday themselves when we went away to Wales. Fantastic care given by Jackie and Nigel. Such lovely people. Humphrey, our rabbit, really enjoyed himself staying at the small animal den, regular updates whilst he was away and drop off and collection was easy. I will definitely be sending him here for his holidays in the future when we go away again. Thank you!

We felt incredibly lucky to find “The Small Animal Den” so near to where we live in Penryn! Jackie & Nigel are super friendly and approachable and we were very happy with the way our Silkie Chickens were looked after! The extras like the photos along with updates on how our girls were doing was a lovely touch and added to our holiday in a positive way! Jackie & Nigel and 'The Small Animal Den' was a truly awesome find for us and our Rat-Girls!
They're skilled, chilled, efficient, lovely and, most importantly for me and my daughters, they truly care about the little pets they're looking after. The photo updates while we were away were a total winner for my kids - to see Dumbo and Cuddles (the rats!) happily having a cuddle or a treat was just what they needed. Jackie & Nigel looked after Tort for a few days for me and I would highly recommend them. Tort was well looked after and I was sent photos of him during his stay. He's been a part of the family for many years and it gave me peace of mind to have left him with people that have such a genuine interest in their boarders. Ian

Asked Jackie and Nigel to look after our budgie Bongo for 3 weeks whilst we relocated. They sent regular pictures and updates so we knew he was happy and safe whilst we tried to sort the move. When things look longer than expected they were more than happy to extend Bongo’s stay with them for us allowing us time to find our new home. I never once worried if he was ok as I knew he was being well looked after and he was happy when he came back to us. Thank you for taking good care of him and he’ll be back for holidays if we go away ourselves! Highly recommend. Natasha & Scott

Highly recommended for looking after your pets. Our rabbit enjoyed a two week break whilst we enjoyed the Caribbean! Rabbit well looked after, nice clean hutch with plenty of toys to keep her occupied. Owners welcoming and easy going and clearly have a passion for small animals. Dave Fortey

Jackie and Nigel are the sweetest people and they took fantastic care of my hamster Peco! She came back so happy, no doubt she had a great time on her holiday. And I got to travel myself entirely stress free knowing she'd be so well looked after while I was away. Wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you so much!

Peco didn't get any Turkey Roast but she did enjoy the box of Hamster Treats that we bought her, taking 4-5 treats to bed every night for the 4 weeks that she stayed with us :). I left my guinea pig, Bella, with Jackie and Nigel for a few days towards the end of last year and was very happy with the service provided. Whilst I was away, I was sent pictures and updates on how Bella was doing. This was not only a lovely thought, but a reassurance to me. The accommodation was fantastic and Jackie and Nigel both went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I would happily recommend the Small Animal Den and would have no hesitations in leaving Bella in their superb care in future. Thank you, Jackie and Nigel! :) - Darren

We left our 3 beautiful chickens with Jackie and Nigel for 10 days while we were visiting family in Cornwall over the Christmas period! I loved the messages and pictures that were sent to us during their stay! Jackie and Nigel were so accommodating when we had to change dates and all communication was fast and efficient. We left our rat here while we went on holiday. We loved the updates and the owners were lovely to meet when we checked out the facilities. When we picked up our rat at the end of the holiday he seemed relaxed and happy, and certainly enjoyed the fresh fruit and veg. Would definitely reccomend! - Nik

We are so thankful that we found Jackie & Nigel and their lovely small animal den! We left our guinea pigs Luna & Coco for the first time and it was such a relief to be able to leave them in such good care. Jackie & Nigel are both very lovely and friendly and they had a very large and clean cage for Luna & Coco to stay in. Lacey the Bunny has just returned from a two week holiday at The Small Animal Den and she was very well looked after. Jackie and Nigel genuinely care for their visitors and Lacey came home in fine form. It was lovely to receive photos whilst we were away, to see Lacey was having as much fun as we were. When we heard that the rabbit boarding centre we'd used for ten years was closing, we thought we'd be lucky to find anywhere with the same amount of space, and where someone would spend a bit of time with our pets whilst we were away. Can't thank Jackie and Nigel enough for their diligent care of our tortoises! First time they had been looked after away from home and we (they) will definitely be back for more visits! Jackie and Nigel really took time to get to know their needs and we were kept up to date with photos, and the accommodation is spotless, which meant I could relax knowing the pets were being well cared for. Bruiser, Rastus & Cashy all seemed happy after their heating for a couple of hours to 'Solar Power', so they could be have their exercise using the full space in The Den. Our African Grey, Charlie stayed for a few days. He’s was well and truly spoilt and made a friends with Nigel and Jackie. He was looked after as he was theirs and he made himself at home very quickly. We were updated regularly with photos which was brill as he had only stayed with family members before, but he quickly settled in and looked really happy. I would recommend Nigel and Jackie for pet care as they clearly love animals and provide an excellent service. Thank you guys, see you soon. X - Jan

Thank you for your lovely feedback. Charlie was a wonderful guest, talked a lot but was polite and didn't swear ;). This was our first attempt at boarding an African Grey Parrot. Jan & Phil were really good and taught us all the things we needed to do with him. He came out of his cage twice a day and decided that Nigel was going to be his best friend, following him into the kitchen and landing on his shoulder! Okay Charlie, next time you come maybe you will get a bit of Jackie's biscuit and she can become friend number 2! We look forward to seeing you all soon x

Our 4 chickens were looked after fantastically by Jackie and Nigel. Their accommodation was spacious and clean and Jackie had lots of treats waiting for them! We have already booked them in for our next holiday. I would highly recommend the chicken den. The only downside is that I don’t think the girls were too keen to leave! - Kate

My two chickens were so well looked after by Jackie and Nigel. I had absolutely no doubt that they would be cared for by these two lovely people because I could see they loved all animals and especially chickens. All their chickens were so friendly and in the best of health that I had no qualms leaving them in Jackie and Nigel's capable hands. They showed me around and showed me the other pets they were looking after too and I think that is very important. You can then see how they are all looked after. Everywhere was impeccably clean and organised. I would recommend them highly and I will be using them again in the very near future. My thanks to you both for a stress free holiday - Linda

Our 2 gerbils had a lovely time on 'holiday' with Jackie and Nigel. It was so good to be able to go away without having to worry as we knew our gerbils would be well looked after.
